On her social media account, Filipina drag queen Eva Le Queen shared her reaction to the announcement revealing her part in the upcoming international drag competition RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars.

“Hello Philippines and hello world! This is Eva Le Queen. I just landed here in Los Angeles. As you all probably know right now, your girl has been casted for RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars. I haven’t seen it. You guys have it earlier than I did, so what I’m going to do is I’m going to see it for the first time. I just wanted to immortalize this moment, capture the very moment that I made it [and] see myself,” Eva said in a video.

Eva first looked at her promo shoots where she wore a Philippine flag inspired gown and was at the center of the official poster of the show.

“We’ll gonna check out the promo look. Team Philippines! Oh, b*tch. Eva Le Queen, Drag Race Philippines. The mugged. She’s in the middle b*tch… Oh my god. God, I was gorgeous. I wanna see that again. Is that me? Stunning,” she expressed.

Eva also watched her own video, announcing her participation in the competition and giving a sneak peek of what to look forward to in her performances.

“‘Global domin-a-tion’, she’s at sound bites. I will not hold back,” she said.

Being the only Asian representative, Eva expressed how it was surreal for her to be part of the international reality competition for drag queens around the world.

“You know, I can’t believe na I am hearing my own voice talking, addressing, not just Filipinos, not just Drag Race fans from the Philippines but Drag fans all over the world,” she expressed.

She went on: “I'm the only Asian representation there. It’s a lot to take in. I haven’t had any sleep. You know, we have already prepared for this. I thought I already had prepared myself for this.”

She also revealed that she first kept everything to herself to savor the moment before sharing it with the world.

“This moment is pure bliss. You know it when your life will gonna change again and it’s just happening right before my eyes. It’s only through this. I haven’t gone out. In a few days time, we'll be going to dragcon and I haven’t talked to people yet. It just feels so great to have this all to myself at this very moment. It’s very special. It’s huge, it’s major,” Eva shared.

She ended her reaction video by asking everyone to cheer for her and all the drag queens representing their countries.

“I’m really proud of the journey that I had for the Global All Stars. It took a village to bring it to life and I can’t wait for all of you to see it,” she said before giving a flying kiss.

The show, which will be the first-ever all-star edition, is set to stream on August 16 on Paramount+.

On Tuesday, July 16, RuPaul’s Drag Race announced the twelve official drag queens who will be joining the global competition.

“Here’s your majesty! 💫 @eva_lequeen is bringing it to #GlobalAllStars - starts streaming AUGUST 16 on @paramountplus! 👠,” they wrote in a post to Eva.

In her Meet the Queen video clip, Eva emphasized how she wanted to represent the Asian culture on the broader stage and expressed her desire to win the competition.

“In 'Drag Race Philippines,' I did pretty well, I was Final 4. I always go for breathtaking looks, I use my body, my artwork, my wigs, my face to tell a story and start conversations… I've always been inspired by Eastern sisters who came before me, like Pangina, they really broke the glass ceilings in the Philippines. I came here because I wanted to show that there is excellence from that side of the world," she said.

She added, “It's high time for Asian drag excellence to be in the Hall of Fame. I'm representing the Philippines, but at the same time, Asia in general… And I know that what I am going to show is a culmination of lots of the beauty, the artistry, the culture, that we all have from that side of the world and now we're bringing it to the global stage.”
