BINI has achieved another milestone in their career as their viral song "Pantropiko" has already reached 100 million streams on Spotify and YouTube Music.

"BACK TO BACK TO BACK ang milestones ng ating Nation's Girl Group @BINI_ph as #BINI_Pantropiko reaches ✨ 100 MILLION + ✨  @SpotifyPH and YouTube Music Streams," Star Music PH announced on X.

The track also peaked at No. 65 on YouTube Top 100 Daily Global Music Video chart.

BINI released "Pantropiko" on November 17, 2023 as a single off of their EP Talaarawan. In summer this year, the song became a viral track on various social media platforms.

In March 2024, the girl group became the first Filipino pop group to achieve the most monthly listeners on Spotify.

"We started this year with just a 100,000 monthly listeners and in just two months nasa 1.4 million na kami sobrang laking jump nito that's why it feels so unbelievable," BINI said in an interview with ABS-CBN News at the Billboard Philippines Women in Music Awards.

The group attributed achieving the feat to "Pantropiko" which started to go viral that time.

"Definitely the music. Pinaka-nakatulong po sa amin ang 'Pantropiko.' Grabe po 'yung pag bloom po niya sa TikTok," the group highlighted.

The group went on: "And napansin po namin na hindi lang siya sa TikTok nag-bloom like sa lahat na ng social media namin and nasakto na nag-release kami ng bago naming EP, especially 'Salamin' and nadamay din 'yung 'Salamin' sa pagdami ng streams."

Film student Angelika Sam Ortiz wrote the hit track of the girl group.

The songwriter shared that she got inspired by the beaches in the Philippines when she was writing "Pantropiko."

"Actually po ang una kong naisip dito is kung anong unang magiging itsura ng MV since I’m a film student din po… Naisip ko na ang gandang visual kasi ng beach, lalo na sa Philippines," she relayed in a previous interview.

The songwriter also revealed that she was thinking about her crush when she compose the track.

"Para maka-relate din yung younger generations," she pointed out.
