BTS’ Jungkook is set to release a new song dedicated to his fans later this week, Big Hit Music announced on Sunday, June 2. In a notice posted on the fan app, Weverse, the company revealed that the 26-year old singer will drop a track titled “Never Let Go” on June 7.

The announcement described “Never Let Go” as a “heartfelt tribute” to Jungkook’s fans that encapsulates the message to ‘never let go of each other’s hands’.” Big Hit Music further emphasized that the song serves as a “token of gratitude for the boundless love from ARMY (BTS’ fans) all over the world.”

Fans have taken to X to share their excitement for the song.

One fan shared: “The gifts from these men.🥹 June in Boraland is like Christmas for muggles. Gosh, I’m gonna go cry now 💜😭”

While another fan said: ““to never let go of each other’s hands” #1 army lover right there i am lying in a PUDDLE of tears”

This new release from Jungkook is particularly significant as it coincides with the 11th anniversary of BTS’ debut on June 13. The group, which has become a global sensation since their rise to fame, will celebrate this milestone with an in-person event hosted by Jin, the first member of the group to complete his military service.

“Never Let Go” is the latest in a series of releases by BTS members. Most recently, BTS’ leader RM released a full-length album on May 24, keeping fans engaged with new music despite the group’s ongoing service duties.

Jungkook enlisted in the military last December 2023, just a month after releasing his debut studio album Golden. The album featured chart-topping singles such as “Standing Next to You,” “3D,” and “Seven,” which solidified his solo career.

As BTS approaches their 11th anniversary, the release of “Never Let Go” underscores the bond between the group and their fans. With the challenges posed by the group’s military service, these individual projects are a way for BTS to connect with their global audience.
