P-pop girl group BINI are set to release their first extended play (EP) album, Talaarawan, on Friday, March 8.

In a media conference on Wednesday, March 6 at Pub•Liq Gastropub in Quezon City, the all-female girl group shared what their upcoming EP is all about.

Talaarawan, it means diary po in English and just like sa diary, you write down your feelings, what happens sa araw mo tapos mga iba’t ibang emotions in a day na na-feel mo, doon mo siya sinusulat And dahil sobrang precious ng diary na yun sa'yo, naging best friend mo na rin yun as time goes by,” BINI member Sheena explained.

She went on: “Just like our EP, dahil six songs siya, iba't-ibang feelings din yung mararamdaman mo. and gaya nga noog sinabi ng mga girls, kapag may nararamdaman ka, yun yung songs na sasagot sayo and tutulong sa'yo.”

“Just like yung best friend mo yung diary mo, yung mga listeners namin kami yung listeners nila,” she said.

BINI member Jhoanna also revealed that every member of BINI got involved in making their upcoming album.

“Yung Talaarawan namin, we had listening sessions po sa pagbuo nito,” the young leader remarked.

“Gusto kasi namin hindi lang siya basta nilagay doon sa EP na ito. Gusto namin na may kuwento siya and that's why yun yung nabuo. Para itong different stages of love and life,” she expressed, which member Maloi agreed.

“So parang kunyare may feeling ka, may sagot yung Talaarawan para sa’yo. Kung malungkot ka, kung masaya ka sa love life mo,” she noted.

BINI’s newest album is also scheduled to be released on International Women’s Day, making it more special for the rising P-pop group.

“I think it’s perfect po na March 8 lalabas yung EP namin because it’s women’s month and kasi there’s really a group of women who are involved in making this a.k.a. us, BINI, and not just us but the whole team BINI, yung mga strong women din na apart from us, yung management and everybody else,” BINI member Aiah stated.

The girls, who stick to their advocacy and beliefs in women empowerment, expressed how their EP can inspire every woman of all ages.

“We really want this to be inspiring to all, not just women, right now, but even for the kids and you know, it’s okay, kasi even if a lot of people perceive us, women, as very emotional, but because of this EP now, we got to make use of our emotions through the songs,” Aiah added.

She went on: “I hope they take inspiration through that. To use it to a good advantage na you can do so much with your talent as a woman.”

The group also encouraged their fans and listeners to continue doing what they're doing and celebrate life as well.

“Karamihan din po kasi sa supporters namin young female groups. So, we just want them to know their value and worth regardless kung anumang sineset na standards and expectations ng mga tao sa kanila. Just continue what you’re doing. You’re doing good. And habang nag-aim ka, habang nagstrive ka for excellence, huwag mo rin kalimutan icelebrate yung mga achievements mo along the way,” member Jhoanna said.

Besides their upcoming EP, BINI also announced during the media conference their upcoming first solo concert on June 28.

“Magkakaroon na po ang BINI ng solo concert, this June 28, so this is it! Saan? Sa New Frontier Theater,” the eight-member girl group revealed.

BINI, consisting of members Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Jhoanna, Mikha, and Sheena, debuted in 2021 with their single “Born to Win”.

The group continue to make waves in the music industry with their hit songs "Na Na Na," “Golden Arrow,” “No Fear,” “Lagi,” “Kapit Lang”, “Karera” and ‘Pantropiko”.

“We are very surprised right now and, at the same time, so grateful. That’s why we always remind ourselves to make sure that our feet stay on the ground, and hindi lumaki ang mga ulo namin. We always stay humble, and we also have so much to do pa. We always say ‘malayo na pero malayo pa,” BINI member Mikha said.
