Live Nation Philippines announced that the concert of British singer-songwriter Rod Stewart in the country has been canceled. The local concert promoter was supposed to bring the highly-anticipated Rod Stewart Live in Concert, One Last Time show to Manila on March 13, 2024 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The announcement shocked the fans of the singer-songwriter who were all eager to watch him perform live.

Live Nation Philippines didn’t disclose any additional details as to why the concert was canceled. They assured the ticket holders that they will be refunded as soon as possible.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, we regret to announce that the show scheduled for March 13, 2024 at SM Mall Of Asia Arena has been canceled,” Live Nation Philippines said.

“Fans who have purchased tickets will receive a full refund through the original payment method. For cash refunds, you may register via smtickets.com/refunds. You may also email customercare@smtickets.com for card reversals and cash refunds,” they added.

Various fans expressed their disappointment upon hearing the unfortunate news. In the comment section of the post, some of Rod’s fans claimed that the singer canceled other shows in the Asian region as well.

“He canceled some of his Asian cities too, not just the Philippines,” a fan shared.

“We all know whyyyy. You overpriced. Yet, Rod Stewart did not want to come not having a sold out [show],” another fan added.

The all-seated show in the country would’ve marked the British singer-songwriter’s return to the Asian scene 15 years since his last tour in the region. Apart from the Philippines, Rod was set to hold several shows in Asia including Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, among others.

Rod is known for his hit songs “Forever Young,” “I Don’t Want to Talk About It,” “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy,” “Sailing,” and “Young Turks,” to name a few.
