Enrique Gil shared that for Valentine's Day, he will be spending the day with his mom as Liza Soberano is in the US promoting her first Hollywood film Lisa Frankenstein.

Meanwhile, Valentine's Day will be the premiere date of Enrique's new movie I Am Not Big Bird in the Philippines.

"Hopefully if [Liza] gets back on time she said she would go and support me," he said.

The actor relayed that both of them actually already agreed to support each other's film projects.

"Actually I shot a small video for Lisa Frankenstein's promo and she also helped with, if you saw the trailer, [there is] 'Hello Big Bird! From Liza Soberano,'" he said.

In the same interview, the actor was also asked about the status of his relationship with Liza.

"Yeah we're happy, we're just really busy. I think we just realized na in life we shouldn't always be just centered around each other. We can do more, grow more, doing our own paths, we can achieve more and then it just makes us better," he remarked.

I Am Not Big Bird marks the return of Enrique to acting after four years on hiatus.

"Medyo nanibago ako. I don't know, it was weird. Parang you still remember it, how to do it. 'Yung timing. Okay naman, very supportive [sila]. It felt good, the environment, the setting," he said in his previous interview with ABS-CBN News.

According to the Kapamilya star, his new movie is an ode to the early 2000s and '90s comedy.

"I just want a film to relax and have a good time, and just do this. Just an ode to the early 2000s and '90s comedies na talagang na-miss ko," he said.

The Kapamilya star went on: "The cast, I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm super thankful and I'm super happy."

He added that through I Am Not Big Bird, he aims to bring back the '90s type of comedy.

"'Yan ang nakaka-miss sa '90s comedies. We wanted to bring it back. We wanted to deliver it," he stated
