Kapamilya actor Christian Bables shared with ABS-CBN News how honored he feels that his film, Broken Hearts Trip, was shown at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood. This work trip also marks his first time to be in Los Angeles.

Apart from Broken Hearts Trip, other Metro Manila Film Festival entries were screened as well at the iconic Hollywood theater for the Manila International Film Festival (MIFF).

Christian expressed his excitement as his film, alongside the nine other entries, was able to share Filipino cinema with foreigners.

“Having Filipino movies here in Hollywood is such a huge privilege, such a huge honor, kasi malaking bagay for Filipino artists and Filipino movies dahil may presentation 'to, we get to represent our country here in Hollywood,” he expressed.

The Dirty Linen  star also made sure to make the most out of his trip as he stopped by the famous Walk of Fame which features several award-winning actors, directors, and celebrities. He admitted that from the iconic tourist destination, he got inspired to do better not just for himself but for Philippine cinema as well.

“Yung Walk of Fame tinitignan ko siya after the event, so gabi na. Masaya siya and dami kong nakikitang mga Hollywood actors sa sahig, nakakatuwa, nakaka-inspire. Sana someday mas marami pang pelikulang Pilipino na ipalabas dito sa Hollywood,” he added.

The inaugural MIFF ran from January 29 to February 2 with the Gala taking place at the Directors Guild of America on Sunset Blvd.

As the MIFF came to an end, Christian revealed to ABS-CBN News that he is excited to head back to the Philippines as he’ll be filming some projects.

Previously, Christian teased about the upcoming project with his Dirty Linen co-star Jennica Garcia. Details for their new project have yet to be announced as of this writing.

“Basta meron kayong aabangan sa amin ni Jennica. Hopefully unang quarter ng 2024,” he previously hinted.
