During his recent contract signing with ABS-CBN at the Keep Shining Kapamilya event, host Robi Domingo couldn’t help but share why he got emotional while signing his contract and also during the mediacon immediately after.

“It’s everything. First of all, I am just happy seeing my bosses and it’s more of ang dami ng nangyayari ngayon, to say the least. And parang ngayon ko nakukuha ano ba yung mga bagay na importante. At yung importante ay to be there, especially in times in need. So ngayon ko nakukuha yun.

“So I’m just filled with emotions siguro because I’m so happy na patuloy yung tiwala ng ABS-CBN and I hope to share this happiness with my fiancée too. I’m pressured but it’s a good kind of challenge, I guess. I think I would just tell my younger self na take it easy, huwag ka masyado magmadali, huwag ka ma-anxious kasi everything will be given to you sa tamang panahon at tamang pagkakaton,” he shared.

The talented host also made sure to give credit to his fellow kapamilyas who helped him become a better host.

“Ang daming beses ko ng umiyak sa ABS-CBN because I needed to learn the hard way and also the long way. Pero the best thing na natutunan ko happened during 2020. And that is the truest and most real feeling of being a kapamilya. Kung saan walang wala na, pagod na pagod na, bagsak na bagsak na, doon lalabas yung mga totoong kapamilya.

“So I’m really happy pero I have to say as a host or as a talent on stage, it’s not up to me. The show becomes really, really good because of the people who made that show possible. And I’m taking about people on cam and off cam. And that is why pag sinasabing ang ganda ganda ng ginawa mo, I always correct them. It’s not just because of me but because of everyone involved. And I’m just really lucky and blessed to have people, the best of the best, to work with,” he explained.

After getting engaged to his non-showbiz girlfriend Maiqui Pineda in Japan last year, Robi said they are both excited planning their wedding and even gave the latest update on their big day.

Last month, the PBB host shared a photo of himself with Maiqui who was hospitalized for an undisclosed reason.

“We have booked our honeymoon na so yun na yung advancements na nangyayari. Pero naghahanap pa rin kami ng sponsor for lights and sounds (laughs). Masakit pala siya,” he said jokingly.
