P-Pop girl group YGIG is definitely back to dominate the music scene in the country with their first mini-album, YLGOIVGE. The five-track album showcases a different side of the girl group as they send a message to their fans about the journey of love. 

YGIG is set to perform these songs alongside their debut single, “Shaba Shaba,” at their comeback concert happening on Sunday, August 6, at the SM North EDSA Skydome.

YLGOIVGE is an anagram of YGIG and LOVE, which conveys the combination of the group’s name and their Love Universe. In this album, the girl group explores the levels of love and heartache as they make a successful return to the music scene after several months of preparations.

The six-member girl group dropped four music videos for the four tracks that were included in their first mini-album. Alongside “Shaba Shaba,” several songs were included in the album which showcased the vocal prowess of YGIG. 

“Doob Doob,” “Touchdown,” “BB,” and “IDKY” are the other tracks included in YGIG’s highly-anticipated mini album. The songs were intended to be chronologically released to vividly tell a story of someone’s journey to love, being lost, and heartache.

“BB,” the title track, is a song that makes its listeners relive their first love and the uncertainties that may go with it. It was revealed that the music video for their title track was shot in the country.

Meanwhile, YGIG is serious about going international as IDKY’s music video was shot in the busy streets of Hong Kong and the Parisian–Venetian-themed setting of Macau. The song is the last track in the album which questions love and gives hope amidst all the doubts one could have in a relationship. 

YGIG received support from thousands of their fans the moment their mini-album was released. It made them the cover of P-Pop on the Rise playlist while “Touchdown” has been put in number one on the same list. Their music video for “BB” has over 1.8 million views and is still on the rise as of this writing.
