After going public with the reason for her breakup with American boyfriend and actor Lee O’Brian last February, Pokwang has finally gone formal with her plans to have her ex-partner deported back to US.

On Tuesday, June 13, the 52-year-old actress and entrepreneur went to the Bureau of Immigration to file a petition for deportation against Lee, who is an American citizen. The actress was accompanied by her lawyer Ralph Calinisan during the visit.

On her Instagram account, Pokwang gave a sneak peek of the official documents along with the caption, “🙏🏼 para sa karapatan ko at ng anak ko, para sa mga kapwa ko babae at sa bayan ko 🙏🏼.”

After being questioned in the comment section of her post about why she had to go to these lengths to file and go public with her petition, Pokwang replied to one netizen with, “(Para) sa mga dedma sa batas yun ang ibig kong sabihin dito mga walang pake na dayuhan!”

In a post last February after revealing the reason for their separation and indicating a new phase in her life, Pokwang shared a photo of herself and her daughter Malia with the caption, “Done!!! I’ts time to fly high and be happy again with my true Love 😘💗❤️ #restartournewlife #behappyagain.”

Having called it quits as early as November 2021, netizens speculate that a third party was involved after Pokwang revealed to PUSH their breakup in July 2022.

On TV5 reporter MJ Marfori’s account, it was revealed that Lee had been overstaying in the Philippines.

“Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. #Pokwang files a petition for deportation against ex partner Lee O’Brian. Her camp claims that O’Brian was using a tourist visa while working in the country for the past eight years.”

In the short video clip, an emotional Pokwang told the reporter, “Gusto natin bigyan ng leksiyon yung mga taong nag-aabuso sa batas natin, yung sa karapatan ng bawat babae, ng bawat nanay.

When asked what kind of abuse she suffered throughout their six-year relationship, Pokwang admitted it has been mental torture for her and her daughter.

“Mentally, sobra. Sobra yung mga ilang gabing hindi nakakatulog, alam mo yun. Basta hindi niya nagagawa yung obligasyon niya bilang ama. Sobrang masakit hindi lang para sa akin kundi para sa anak namin,” she admitted.

Pokwang (real name Marietta Subong) first worked as an entertained in Japan before entering showbiz after winning in the “Clown in a Million,” a reality talent show segment of the now defunct ABS-CBN gag show, Yes, Yes Show in 2004. She received an exclusive artist contract with ABS-CBN afterwards.

She has two daughters, Mae, 27, from a previous relationship and five-year-old Malia, with American ex-partner Lee. The couple first met on the set of their 2014 film EDSA Woolworth which was shot in San Francisco, California.

Earlier this week, Pokwang revealed that she is set to do a new project with Venezuelan actor Fernando Carrillo (of 1999 Mexican telenovela Rosalinda fame) who arrived in the country last week.
