BLACKPINK's Jennie documented her preparation for this year's Met Gala.

"It's my first time going to the Met and I'm excited and nervous," she confessed in a video posted on Vogue's YouTube channel.

Jennie shared the journey that she went through before she attended the Met Gala on May 1 (US time).

"I've been on tour for the past like six months already and the challenge we had to go through was headlining Coachella in between our tour because we would go from doing shows to rehearsals in between everything that was happening," she revealed.

"But I mean it was an exciting dream come true experience," she highlighted.

In the same video, Jennie shared the details of her look for the Met Gala.

"For my makeup, we wanted to do this different shades of pink and mixture of different colors. We have sparkly happening in my eyes and we wanted to keep the rest of my face little matte," she shared.

For her hair, Jennie said that it took inspiration from the Korean culture.

"We wanted to bring a little bit of our Korean culture and this braided hair reminded us of a Korean look and of course the camellia (flowers) for Karl (Lagerfeld, to whom this year’s gala was dedicated) and the classic Chanel," she said.

For her dress, Jennie wore a Chanel dress inspired by look 164 from Lagerfeld’s fall 1990 ready-to-wear collection.

"I'm wearing a very classic timeless white mini dress today," she said.

"This is my final look for my first ever Met Gala and I'm so happy to see how everything came out with my gloves, and the camellias, and everything," she remarked.
