After starring in the Kapamilya primetime series Mars Ravelo’s Darna, Jane De Leon is now gearing up for a couple of projects to start this year.  

The Kapamilya actress was launched as the brand ambassadress of Freshies Juju Glow drink on Saturday, April 29, where she shared with the media latest updates about her career. 

“Actually after Darna, ang dami ngang nagsasabi na nasaan na raw ako… Inaantay nila ako. Hindi raw ako nagpapakita,” Jane began.  

She then went on to share what has been keeping her busy. “Una, nagvacation muna ako, and I did a lot of shoots nga, especially endorsements. And, may mga upcoming projects talaga ako, especially movies. Hindi lang po talaga namin para sabihin sa lahat and gusto namin surprise. And, maraming good news naman na dumarating sa’kin after Darna kaya ngayong May actually, ineenjoy ko na ‘yung time ko kasi malapit na magstart ulit ‘yung projects.” 

Saying that they will probably start this June, Jane added, “Actually more than one ‘yung movie… So marami talaga kayong aabangan.” 

When asked if she is doing a project with Darna co-stars Janella Salvador and Joshua Garcia, Jane replied, “For now, kami nina Janella and Joshua, I think we have our own projects muna after Darna, and sana soon, maybe after, we can do a collab together.” 

However, she maintained that they still have communication even after their series ended. “Yeah, we have. Actually, kasi kakagaling ko lang din Singapore so sabi nga ni Jea (Janella’s nickname), lagi nga niya akong kinukulit, kailan na ba ako babalik? And maybe this week, baka magkita kami kasi I promised nga na bibisita ako sa kanya kasi galing din siyang Japan. So continuous naman ‘yung communication namin together.” 

As for the project she hopes to undertake next, Jane said, “I think ‘yung action kasi, hindi na yata mawawala sa’kin ‘yun… Siguro something new sa action [genre] kasi nakita ako lagi ng tao na seryoso ako lagi sa Probinsyano, sa Darna. I think medyo nalalayo naman sa mga ganoong karakter.” 

Currently, the 24-year-old actress-endorser said that she’s doing vlogs as she tries new things. “I’m trying to do new things sa life ko especially ‘yung pagda-drums, ipo-proceed ko na rin po ‘yun and other martial arts like nagtatry din po ako para ‘pag sumabak po ulit sa mga action, hindi po mabigla ‘yung katawan ko… Nag-aaral na rin po akong magmotor. [For] future projects… And mahilig po talaga ako sa mga extreme po talaga na activities. Nacha-challenge po kasi ako lagi.” 

Jane, who has been traveling abroad recently, added that she’s taking the time explore now before her next project begins. “Especially kapag magsta-start na ‘yung projects and movies namin. Magiging madugo kasi tuluy-tuloy po… Kasi after the first movie, diretso po ulit ako sa second project.” 

Earlier, she narrated the travels she did after Darna, noting that there’s a couple more to go. “Ngayong taon yata, ang dami kong bansang pinuntahan. Pumunta akong Japan, pumunta po akong Singapore tapos may mga out-of-towns din po ako. And babalik ulit kaming Japan this month with my family, and Bangkok din pala. [For] personal and work,” she shared.
