Edu Manzano is celebrating his son Luis Manzano on the latter’s 42nd birthday this Friday, April 21.

On Instagram, the veteran actor-host penned a lengthy and heartwarming letter for Luis, praising him for being a wonderful son and a devoted family man. Luis is married to actress Jessy Mendiola, with whom he shares a daughter, Isabella Rose.

“Dear Luis,

“Happy 42nd birthday! On this special day, I want to convey my heartfelt blessings and congratulations on your recent blessings of having a wife and daughter. You have always shone as a son, but now, as a loving husband and father, you radiate even brighter.”

“It brings me immense joy to see you take on these new roles with such devotion and dedication. I have no doubt that you will be an incredible partner to Jessy and a wonderful father to Isabella Rose.”

Sharing his birthday wish for his eldest son, Edu wrote, “May this birthday bring you all the happiness and love that you deserve. Always remember how much you are loved and cherished, not just today but every day. I am incredibly proud of the man you have become and excited to see where this new chapter in your life takes you.”

“Happy Birthday, my dear son. With all my love, Dad.”

Reacting to his post, Luis simply wrote, “Love you daddyo!!”

In the comments, Edu’s girlfriend, actress Cherry Pie Picache, also wished Luis a happy birthday.

“Happy birthday Luis. God’s abundant and brightest blessings,” she said.

Meanwhile, Luis thanked all those who have been sending him birthday greetings on social media.

“Thank you very much for all the birthday greetings! Sorry di ko mareplyan isa isa but THANK YOU,” he said.

Aside from Luis — his son with ex-wife, award-winning actress Vilma Santos — Edu has two other children with former model Rina Samson: Addie, who recently got married, and Enzo.
