“Hindi ko po pangarap maging artista. I had to be an artista para mapag-aral ko yung sarili ko, para mapa-aral ko kapatid ko, para mabuhay ko yung family ko. That’s one thing na hindi alam ng maraming tao. I think that they assumed na gusto ko mag-artista ever since I was a kid which is not true,” she admitted.

The 25-year-old actress added that while she is grateful for the work being given to her, she felt like she needed to grow more as an artist rather than being stuck in a love team with her boyfriend and on screen partner, Enrique Gil.

The actress currently has no Manila-based projects as of this writing and is focusing on building her career in Hollywood. Liza plays the role of an '80s high school cheerleader named Taffy in her debut Hollywood film, Lisa Frankenstein. A release date for the movie has yet to be revealed.
