Miles Ocampo won her first-ever acting award at the recently concluded 49th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Gabi ng Parangal last December 27. The actress emerged as the Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Family Of Two.

Miles was up against seasoned artists such as Agot Isidro (Becky and Badette), Gloria Diaz (Mallari), Alessandra de Rossi (Firefly), and Janella Salvador (Mallari).

The 26-year-old actress couldn’t believe that she finally got an award after being in the entertainment industry for two decades now.

“Hala! Six years old ako nag-start sa industriya. 27 na ako next year, first time ko nakatanggap ng award.

Miles revealed how she had to think about accepting the role in the film as she recently came from her thyroid surgery prior to filming. She jokingly acknowledged that she looked like Alden Richards’s mother in the film despite being his girlfriend in the film.

The Goin’ Bulilit  alum showed her gratitude towards her management, the directors of the film, and her fans who continued to support her.

Miles rose to fame as part of the comedy show Goin’ Bulilit and the hit television series Mga Anghel na Walang Langit. Since then, the actress has starred in different series and films.
