Former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate Alyssa Valdez secured another championship with her professional club team, Creamline Cool Smashers, at the recently concluded Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.

The volleyball superstar completed the five-setter match after she delivered a powerful crosscourt hit to seal the deal for her team.

This is the seventh win of the Creamline Cool Smashers in the league––making them the winningest club team to participate in the tournament.

Apart from the championship, their win marked their flawless run throughout the season as they tallied a 15-0 campaign.

Alyssa shared some championship photos on her Instagram account.

Among those in the photos is her teammate and former PBB housemate, Michele Gumabao, who bagged the Best Opposite Spiker award in the league.

The historic 15-0 run of Alyssa and Michele’s team was witnessed by a 24,459 live audience at the Araneta Coliseum––the largest crowd in attendance for the event.

Celebrity friends of Alyssa, such as Mimiyuuuh and Eian Rances, were among those in the historic crowd.

The PBB alum’s win at the Araneta Coliseum marked her first-ever victory in the Big Dome.

Prior to their win last December 16, the volleyball phenom hadn't won a game in Araneta Coliseum, which made her recent win much sweeter to her.

“This is probably my first championship win here in Araneta. And it’s so timely to end the year with a win. It feels great to play in that moment also, in this big stadium — with this crowd, intense game,” she said in a post-game interview.

Meanwhile, Alyssa credited their coaching staff, whom she said made the adjustments after losing some key players before the start of the tournament. This was also one of Alyssa’s comeback seasons. It can be recalled that she previously suffered a knee injury, wherein she needed rehabilitation.

“I think that’s the one advantage we had at this conference. We had a deep pool of players, and we had excellent strategies from our coaches, from [head] coach Sherwin to our conditioning coach to our [physical therapists],” she told the media.
