Our beloved Modern Family cast members are reunited for the first time since the end of the show in April 2020. 

Colombian-American actress and television personality Sofia Vergara shared a carousel of photos from their delightful gathering at her Los Angeles home with almost the entire cast and creators of the show, Steve Levitan and Chris Lloyd.

The actress, who played Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in the series, posted: “First Modern Family reunion!!!!❤️❤️❤️,” showing everyone from the patriarch Jay to the youngest female grandchild, Lily Tucker Pritchett (played by Aubrey Anderson Emmons).

Sofia also posted a photo of her and actor Ed O’neil, who played her husband Jay Pritchett on the beloved comedy series.

She captioned it: “I love u Ed O’neil❤️❤️❤️ #modernfamily”

During the reunion, there was an abundance of laughter and great stories. The cast members, along with their partners who had become like an extended family of the show, were seen laughing and sipping wine together. They talked happily, took selfies and group photos, and even huddled together in Sofia's closet. It was a joyous occasion.

The 51-year-old actress also posted a video on how they gave actor Ty Burell a ‘Phil Dunphy treatment’ as he couldn’t make it to the reunion night.

Sarah Hyland, who took on the character of his daughter Haley Dunphy, was heard shouting, “I love you, Dad!” in the video after everyone shared how much they missed the actor.

Fans also poked fun at the actor’s absence as they noted some of Phil’s iconic moments on the show. 

“Where's the telepresence iPad robot when you need it?”

“They should’ve set up that walking iPad stick like they did during Alex’s graduation episode 🤣🤣🤣”

“They should have FaceTimed Phil on the iPad just like in that one episode! ❤️”

Actor Eric Stonestreet, on the other hand, penned: “For 11 years we would take family pictures for Modern Family and without missing one ever, I would always say, ‘now let’s do one without Ty.’

He explained that the photo of Tyrell’s ‘Phil Dunphy’ was used as "proxy" for the actor, who couldn't make it.

“Last night Ty couldn’t make it to our little impromptu reunion, so I had to bring his favorite picture of Phil so we could ‘do one without Ty,’” the actor said in a very 'Cameron Tucker' (his role on the show) gesture.

Actor Jesse Tyler, who played Mitchell Pritchett, posted photos of each show's families, referencing the iconic opening of the hit series.

“Nearly perfect @modernfamily reunion. We even had our two dads Chris Lloyd & Steve Levitan there!” he said.

During the reunion, some of the cast members of Modern Family were present, including actress Julie Bowen who played Claire Dunphy, actress Ariel Winter who played Alex Dunphy, actor Rico Rodriguez who played Manny Delgado, and actor Nolan Gould who played Luke Dunphy.

Modern Family is a beloved comedy series that premiered in 2009 and ran for 11 seasons. The show followed the lives of three diverse families: Jay and Gloria's, Mitchell and Cameron's, and Phil and Claire's, as well as their children and grandchildren, including Haley, Alex, Luke, Manny, Lily, and Joe.
