Donny Pangilinan is proud of his onscreen partner Belle Mariano, who recently took home her Outstanding Asian Star award at the Seoul International Drama Awards in South Korea.

The actor took to Instagram Stories to congratulate his love team partner, saying: “This is your day. So proud of you @belle_mariano. More to come.”

According to her talent management agency Star Magic, Belle bested 175 male and female actors in the category, including Donny himself, along with Kapamilya artists Dimples Romana, Jake Cuenca, Charlie Dizon, Maris Racal, Kaila Estrada, and Zanjoe Marudo.

The 20-year-old actress was among the five honorary winners from the region. She accepted her award in a gorgeous Filipiniana gown by Francis Libiran, and was accompanied by ABS-CBN executives Ruel S. Bayani and Mico del Rosario during the ceremony.

Undeniably the most popular love team of their generation, Donny and Belle — or “DonBelle”, as they are known to fans — were first paired in the hit teen series He’s Into Her, which wrapped just this August after two successful seasons.

After starring in their first big screen project Love Is Color Blind in 2021, the two are set to topbill another Star Magic film: An Inconvenient Love, which is slated in cinemas this coming November 23.
