As of writing, Vhong had already voluntarily surrendered himself to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

In an ambush interview with the It’s Showtime host in the NBI compound, Vhong aired his frustration over his case.

“Yun nga yung nakakalungkot kasi for how many years na akala namin nila attorney na tapos na, patapos na actually. Kaya nagulat kami after how many years parang ito ulit nabubuhay at parang ako pa yung nababaliktad. Parang ang hirap paniwalaan,” he said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

The 45-year-old comedian maintained that he is innocent of the allegations thrown against him.

According to Vhong, he has already shared his truth since 2014, reiterating that he has nothing to hide.

“Mula noong 2014, inilahad ko yung lahat na nangyari wala akong tinago sinabi ko lahat alam ng Panginoon yun na nagsasabi ako ng totoo. Kaya ngayon ang bigat ng loob ko kasi parang bakit ganito,” he said.

Earlier today, Judge Angela Francesca Din of the Taguig Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 116 issued an arrest warrant as she found ‘probable cause’ to hold Vhong for trial.

“After personally evaluating and taking into consideration the Information…as well as the allegations in the complaint affidavit executed by the offended party, which are all under oath, together with the supporting documents…As probable cause exists to hold the accused for trial, let a Warrant of Arrest be issued against accused Ferdinand ‘Vhong’ H. Navarro,” the order wrote.

Meanwhile, the court has allowed Vhong to post bail amounting to PHP 36,000.
