Having started out in showbiz as a child actor in ABS-CBN’s iconic youth-oriented 90s show Ang TV, Thou Reyes has slowly built himself up as a remarkable actor and has done a wide variety of roles in ABS-CBN shows like Pangako Sa ‘Yo, Bagani, The Blood Sisters, and Ang Probinsyano.

Last year, the 37-year-old actor took on a different kind of challenge offscreen when he put up his own business venture. But along with earning money for himself, he was also able to support local farmers from Nueva Ecija.

In his latest Instagram post, Thou proudly celebrated the first anniversary of his supply store called Rice and Shine located at N. Domingo Street in San Juan city.

He wrote: “A year ago today, I took a risk of putting up my own business. It was a one-man team! Loaded with just my eagerness and faith, RICE and Shine was born. Now, any baby needs nourishing and mine comes with the caring and guidance of my family.”

“Today marks the blessing of our baby, with spiritual guidance, I believe that HE will continue to look over us. HE surely works in mysterious ways. To more years of success! Mabuhay lahat ng kamag anak, kaibigan, katrabaho a lahat ng mga patuloy na tumatangkilik sa ating bigasan. #1stBirthdayRICEandShine #SupportLocalFarmersPh,” he added.

Thou ended his post by praying for the new government to continue supporting local farmers. “Weekend blessing! May the new government continue & strengthen their support for our local farmers!”
