In her first live performance in almost three years, Anne Curtis performed to a packed crowd at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila last June 11. Anne took back her 2018 announcement that Anne Kulit would be her last concert with her comeback concert Luv-Anne.

“It’s so nice to everyone again. Alam ko sinabi ko dati na last ko na yun. Pero heto na naman tayo noh? (laughs). But I’m just so thankful that in spite of everything, I know it’s still scary, but you guys are here. Nandito kayo to have a good night.

“And the reason why I’m here as well is because of love, love for music and passion for doing something that we love. And I think that’s why you guys are here also because of love. Because it’s been so long yet you’re still here to support me. Hindi ako sure, pero baka lang na-miss niyo yung boses kong nakaka-torete,” Anne said to the Luv-Anne concert goers last weekend.
“And the reason why I’m here as well is because of love, love for music and passion for doing something that we love. And I think that’s why you guys are here also because of love. With exciting performances along with her guest performers Gary Valenciano, EZ Mil, Darren Espanto, SB19, and new girl group Litz, Anne admitted she really missed performing on stage after staying in Australia during the pandemic.

“Nakaka-miss maging concert performer. Thank you for welcoming me again. It took me a lot talaga to be here tonight kasi during the time that I wasn’t in front of the limelight, I was really enjoying my life as a mother. But slowly, it’s all coming back to me.

“Aminin niyo na, sige na. Gusto ko lang marinig, gumanda na ba yung boses ko? Thank you so much. Talagang prinactice ko yun. But you know what, I just want to take this opportunity also to thank everyone that made tonight happen. Because you know what, it really takes a village. Super kinakabahan ko kanina because of course Gary V. yan. But I’m just so happy. So thank guys for cheering me on. It means a lot to me. And of course maraming, maraming salamat sa inyo for welcoming me back and coming here,” she shared.

“I guess, when you love something, it will always be inside of you and you should never let that passion die down. Because it is who you are. So that’s why I want to say thank you to everyone that’s here tonight. Because you’re still here smiling. You’re still here having fun and smiling which is what I miss. I miss being able to make you happy.

“So this evening, all throughout this time that I was preparing for this concert, it was really about being pa-Luv-Anne, kaya ito. Because I really didn’t have the confidence anymore. Sabi ko, ‘Kaya ko pa ba? May manunuod pa ba?’ And yet here you are. So tonight, for me, this evening is actually a love letter to all of you.
“To everyone that is here tonight taking the time to watch me, even if I’m not the best singer but I’m perfect. This is me thanking all of you for staying by me throughout all of these years and supporting me and showing me love. This is me giving the love back. Love, Anne,” she said.
