It’s been four years since Pia Wurtzbach last showed off her acting chops in the Star Cinema film My Perfect You with Gerald Anderson. The beauty queen-actress said she is excited to be doing her comeback project this year through the Cathy Garcia Molina-directed sweetcom My Papa Pi which also pairs her with Piolo Pascual onscreen.

“Actually sa totoo lang hindi ko talaga siya in-expect. Parang nandiyan na yung project tapos and yung araw na sinabi sa akin na merong inquiry para makasama ako sa sitcom, nag-decide din ako nung araw na yun na gagawin ko siya. Kasi sumakto din na may time ako and I was able to move stuff around to make time for this shoot. And nandito rin naman ako sa Pilipinas so sakto na. And sobrang grateful ko na ako yung napili nila na makasama dito. Kasi siyempre bigatin yung mga ‘to. So sobrang grateful ako. Nakasama ko rin si papa Pi after many, many years,” she shared.

“I didn’t expect na this year babalik ako sa TV. Hindi naman ako nag-e-expect palagi na dahil Miss Universe ako mabibigyan ako ng mga project, ganyan. Kasi yung mga ganitong bagay talagang pag deserve mo at na-prove mo ang sarili mo mapipili ka. Matagal na akong hindi nag-ti-TV, mga 10 years na yung last ko na TV extra ako. Tapos yung last na sitcom ko kami rin naman ni Pi pero matagal na matagal na talaga yun. So I’m very happy to be back. Na makita ako ng mga tao every week and na may makita silang different side ko,” she recalled.

“Siyempre nung nalaman ko na I’ll have the opportunity to work with direk Cathy (Garcia-Molina) again and papa Pi (Pascual) and papa Pe (Herrera) nag-yes ako right away as in nung araw na yun na tinanong sa akin. Nag-usog na ako ng mga dapat na work, minove ko ng ibang araw. Nag-make way ako para magawa ko siya kasi parang kailan pa mangyayari ito na matatawagan ka tapos mapipili ka to work with them on a sitcom,” she explained.
“Siyempre nung nalaman ko na I’ll have the opportunity to work with direk Cathy (Garcia-Molina) again and papa Pi (Pascual) and papa Pe (Herrera) nag-yes ako right away as in nung araw na yun na tinanong sa akin.
