As one of the performers during Angeline Quinto’s latest 10th anniversary concert 10Q in Manila last November 13, singer Bugoy Drilon shared how happy he was to have just come back from their successful international tour which ended last month. Angeline’s tour included their three-man group Budakhel (composed of Bugoy, Michael Pangilinan, and Daryl Ong) in the multi-city tour.

“May mga shows pa rin. Lalo na ngayon, mga Christmas events and then mga show pa din, concerts. Thankful ako kasi katatapos lang din ng US and Canada tour namin and next year ulit yung next leg ng tour namin as Budakhel,” he shared.

When it comes to his personal life, Bugoy revealed that he is currently dating someone new.

“Lahat ng naging ex ko foreigner. I’m dating someone now. Non-showbiz. Foreign. Hindi ko puwede sabihin yung lahi. European siya. Nag-meet kami sa New York recently lang. I think kinonnect kami ng friend ko sa kanya. Kasama ko sila Khel nun. Same na same age kami. And then nag-meet ulit kami sa L.A. Pumunta din siya ng L.A so she might come here kasi nasa Japan siya ngayon dahil sa business niya. Hopefully next month magkita kami. Kung hindi next month, baka this month dito baka pumunta siya. I don’t have any specific place (na ipapasyal siya). Siguro kung saan mga trip niya,” he shared backstage after the 10Q concert.

The 32-year-old singer admitted that after his previous failed relationships, he does not want to fall in love at first sight anymore.

“Normally kasi, sa mga relationships ko, ako yung naghahabol. So ngayon I’ll go with the flow. Kung para siya sa akin, para siya sa akin. Kung hindi siya para sa akin, it means na may ibang para sa akin. There are things kasi na we cannot control but our reaction is completely ours. Lie low lang, slow lang yung pace na gagawin ko, kung paano kami mag-ko-connect deeply. Kasi we’re not rushing naman anything. We’re still getting to know each other. Hindi naman ako sikat, I’m just performing,” he explained.

The Budakhel member also talked about his more mature approach to love and relationships now.

“I cannot say na nasa moment na ng in love kasi nga getting to know each other pa lang kami and ako din naman, ayoko kasi yung dati nun na pag na-love at first sight ka, dugso agad. That’s not what a relationship is. Yung love kasi you really have to get to know yung isang tao. Kung mag-va-vibe ba kayo or kung compatible ba kayo. Some people kasi pinapairal lang nila yung feelings nila. But feelings can change in a minute.

“Na-realize ko siguro sa mga experience ko kasi it’s a constant process, it’s a constant learning. So lahat ng mga experience ko, I have to learn from my mistakes. Kasi kung hindi ka matututo sa mistakes mo, you’re not going to go further. Magiging stuck ka dun. Stagnant ka na dun sa isang place na yun because you become comfortable and you aren’t afraid to risk something. But life is about risk. Go big or go home,” he added.
