The couple made the announcement on their respective social media pages on Saturday, January 22 (PH time).

They added, "We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much."

Various celebrities extended their congratulatory messages to the couple.

"So happpy for you both!" John Legend said.

"Omg HUGE CONGRAAAAAATS WOW WOW WOW," Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic commented.

This announcement came after speculations on the couple’s relationship surfaced after Priyanka dropped her married name from her Instagram account back in November 2021. The actress dispelled the rumors after posting a comment on Nick’s workout video soon after.

As for the buzz it—or any topic—made on social media, the actress said in an interview with Vanity Fair, “Because of the noise of our social media, because of the prevalence that it has in our lives, I think it seems a lot larger than it is. I think that we give it a lot more credence in real life, and I don't think it needs that."

Nick and Priyanka got married in December 2018 at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur. They had Hindu and Christian wedding ceremonies.

The couple started dating in May 2018 and got engaged in July of the same year.
