Kapamilya actor JC de Vera has tied the knot with his non-showbiz wife Rikkah Cruz for a second time in a church wedding ceremony held in Tagaytay, it was revealed on Tuesday, September 21.

Based on photos released by Nice Print Photography, Rikkah was a simple but stunning bride in a beaded gown by Francis Libiran, while JC looked dapper in a matching suit by Paul Cabral.

Nice Print also shared photos from the couple’s lavish, celestial-themed wedding ceremony. Here’s a look:

JC and Rikkah first married in an under-the-radar civil ceremony in 2018, months before they welcomed their daughter Lana Athena.

However, it wasn't until March this year when the actor announced that he is now a married man, in an interview with his La Vida Lena co-star Erich Gonzales for her vlog.

At the time, JC shared that he and his wife were planning to have a church wedding but it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Ang nangyari kasi diyan, inuna talaga namin 'yung civil wedding. Tapos lumabas si Lana. Then right after lumabas si Lana, dapat magchu-church wedding na kami. Eh nagka-pandemic, so na-move ulit," said JC, who added that their church wedding would push through this year.

"Mas gusto talaga namin 'yung church. 'Yung civil wedding, alam namin na dumaan lang. Parang mas gusto pa naming mag-prepare ng something really big, which is 'yung church wedding," he also said.

Asked why he didn't post anything about his wedding on his social media pages, the actor said: "Hindi talaga ako, alam mo 'yun, ma-big announcement. [But] I always tell everyone. 'Pag tinanong, 'Are you married?' 'Yeah, I'm married.'

According to JC, Rikkah is a former schoolmate of his who is seven years his junior.

Asked how he knew that she is "the one", JC shared that he went through a lot to court his wife.

"Pinahirapan niya 'ko. Dumaan ako sa butas ng karayom and hindi niya 'ko binibigyan ng any window para pumasok ako sa buhay niya. Takot siya. Kasi nga 'yung type of work kasi natin 'di ba. Siyempre 'pag hindi ka talaga nasa work natin, it's hard to understand kung ano talaga 'yung ginagawa natin everyday, and para doon sa mga non-showbiz, matagal 'yung para ma-process sa kanila," he said.

"So siya, medyo takot siya, pero sabi ko nga, 'Pinahirapan mo 'ko, eh.' Sinuyo ko talaga and decided ako na I'll end up with you," he added.
