In an interview with Over A Glass Or Two online show in July, Angel shared that she has been on a weight loss journey for her health.

"Ginagawa ko 'yon for myself...for my health talaga. Maraming salamat dahil na-vaccinate tayo, nakikita natin yung blood pressure natin. So yung sa akin, mataas. Mataas siya, kaya kailangan kong pagtuunan ng pansin talaga. It's not really for vanity, siguro bonus na lang din 'yon. Pero hinahabol natin, yung imporantante, maalagaan natin yung sarili natin," she relayed.

"Sa mga gusto pala mag-diet, gawin niyo para sa sarili niyo, hindi para sa ibang tao...Kasi kahit na ano mang weight natin, ano mang itsura natin, you're perfect, you're you, you're unique. Own it," the actress added.
