Actress Kiray Celis took to social media to share her short but sweet birthday message for her non-showbiz boyfriend, Stephan Estopia.

Through an Instagram post on Wednesday, August 18, the former Goin' Bulilit star professed her love for her boyfriend as she wished him a happy birthday.

Sharing a quote about choosing a partner who is responsible and loyal, rather than just attractive, Kiray then wrote: "HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY AKING JOWA NA SI @stephan.estopia! Sabay nating aabutin lahat ng mga pangarap natin. Mahal na mahal kita! Wala na akong mahihiling pa."

It was in 2019 when Kiray first made public her relationship with Stephan, who is an athlete and gaming video creator.

Previously, the actress shared that she and her boyfriend were both heartbroken when they first met each other.

At that time, her ex-boyfriend had just dumped her for another girl, while Stephan just came from a failed relationship.

“Niloko man kami ng mga tao sa nakaraan namin, pero at least natuto kami. Mas lumakas kami. Mas tumapang kami," she added.

Speaking with PUSH last year, Kiray described Stephan as kind, polite, and respectful not just towards her but her family.

“Super mabait siya. Sobrang marespeto, lalo na family-oriented ako, so sobrang nirerespeto niya ang magulang ko at ang mga kapatid ko. Kapag hindi puwede sa parents ko kahit gusto namin hindi namin gagawin or hindi namin pupuntahan. Ganun niya nirerespeto ang desisyon ng pamilya ko," she said.

"Mabait siya. Magalang. Napakalambing. Mas nauuna pa nga siyang umiiyak pag nag-aaway kami, eh. Ako yung moody, ako yung masama sa aming dalawa," she added.

Kiray admitted that though she and Stephan have just been dating for a few years, she hopes that their relationship will eventually end up in marriage.

"Kasi ako naman talaga yung type ng tao na… 'di ba kahit naman yung first boyfriend ko sinasabi ko naman sa inyo na 'yon na talaga yung gusto ko. Parang never naman tayong nag-dream na… gusto natin kung sino yung kasama natin sa buhay ay makasama na natin forever," she said.

The actress went on: “Ayoko kasi ng paiba-iba. Ayokong naririnig yung sarili ko na, ‘Ex yan ni Kiray,’ alam mo yon, parang ang hirap kaya na mag-start ulit sa panibagong tao. Kikilalanin mo kung ano yung gusto niya, aalamin mo kung ano yung ayaw niya, tatanggapin mo kung sino siya – ang hirap. Parang bagong tao na naman, bagong pagsubok, kikilalanin ang pamilya, mga kaibigan."

“Ang hirap kaya ng ganun, parang from the scratch ka ulit. Parang kang baby na nagko-crawl, na natututo ulit maglakad, magsalita, parang ganun. Ayoko ng ganung experience," she added.
