Tattoos have long been known as a form of art which lets a person express their inner self. In local showbiz, one of the stars known for having multiple tattoos is actor JM De Guzman.

Last year, the Init Sa Magdamag star had some tattoos done in consecutive months. Last July, JM added the image of a large eye and the word “diwa” written in Baybayin on his left arm. The following month, he added a date written in Roman numerals on the other arm which when translated to a numerical value, says 6-28-2013, or June 28, 2013. This is a significant date for him as it is the date of his first rehabilitation period for substance abuse.

Last August 16, JM revealed his latest major tattoo which features a kind of bird with a red backdrop. The 32-year-old actor revealed that it took eight hours for the tattoo to be done by local tattoo artist Rod Santos. On his Instagram post, JM wrote, “rebirth. #endthestigma”

In 2018, JM's tattoos and fit body were showcased in a series of photos done by photographer Jojit Lorenzo. One of the highlighted tattoos was a portrait of a woman covering almost half of his back area. In a previous interview, JM revealed that the portrait was what he imagined his sister would look like if she were still alive. JM’s sibling passed away when she was still a baby.
