After almost a month of staying in Europe, Wil Dasovich proudly announced that his team won in Malta’s Vlogfest, an international vlog festival held in Malta from July 9 to 14 this year. According to the Vlogfest website, the aim of the competition is to “bring together key influencers in Vlogging from around the world to experience the best that tourism destinations have to offer first hand.”

Wil flew to Malta, along with sister Hailey and fellow vlogger Daniel Marsh in order to create a video that will inspire visitors to come to the Maltese Islands.

On his Instagram account last July 15, Wil wrote, “WE DID IT!!! We won the Vlogfest PLUS $30,000 🇵🇭 1st award I’ve ever got that came with a bag, how generous!

“This entire Eurotrip has been one of the most incredible travels of my life and to be honest, before heading on this trip I’d barely even heard of Malta! 🤣 but after weeks on this island I can definitely say it’s one of the most unique countries I’ve been to and Valletta is on my top 5 must see cities in the world!

“I’m gratified through the roof to be casted in this creative group of filmmakers who were all able to showcase this lesser known gem of the Mediterranean in their own customized way of storytelling. Proud of every person in this competition especially team Spain 🇪🇸!(@azul_mistico @enriquealex) & I urge you all to check out each creators’ videos to see the beauty I was up against!”

In the same post, the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate also thanked everyone who supported his journey including his family and fellow vloggers.

“Thank u to everyone who voted, shared my video, became a part of this entire winning process. You contributed to this moment and we did this as a team! I tend to forget how strong this community is but when it comes to international events like this, I’m always reminded how tight this group really is! Wala talaga yung Iba sa #TeamPhilippines #DasoFam #Day1Chonggos alam mo na!!! I promise to have huge meet ups with you all in every country I visit (like we used to do before) once this covid sh*t dies down 🤣

Wil also gave credit to his Pinoy fans who voted for his video entry online and helped him clinch the win.

He wrote, “Shout out to everyone who hung in there and tried to vote multiple times when it wasn’t working in the beginning days with the slow website when it took some people 20-30 minutes to load!! To those who voted with their sisters, brothers, parents accounts! To those who created multiple accounts (not sure if that’s allowed but 🤷🏻‍♂️ 🤣) puso bato I c u!!! To my friends who reached out and supported me and watched/shared my video, it means alot cuz my friends rarely make pansin to stuff like this 🤣.”
