Contrary to what others think, Derek Ramsay and Ellen Adarna didn't have their first kiss until after they became an official couple.

The two made the revelation as they recalled the first time they kissed in an exclusive interview with Vicki Belo, as seen in the doctor’s latest YouTube vlog.

"Nothing happened for us, not even until naging kami," Derek confessed.

Referring to the dinner party in January that first sparked rumors romantically linking them, he said: "There was something kasi she told me that night. 'If this ever happens, it has to be when I'm sober so that I can feel the energy.' She wasn't sober. And all the other times when we were hanging out, it's like, I [wanted to respect her], I wanted to know where this was going.

"And then there was this one time, I took her home, and I said, okay, this is the night I think at least I'll get a kiss," he recalled. "And I think she was thinking the same thing. And we were there in the car. ...[Then she kissed me], but not with her lips—she used her teeth. She jammed her teeth into my face."

In her defense, a laughing Ellen said it was only by accident.

"Because ang tagal kong inisip. Parang, okay, should I kiss him? Okay, ito na. And then natawa na 'ko sa sarili ko. Why am I thinking about this? Why am I stressing about this? So finally, I decide to kiss him, and then natawa na 'ko sa sarili ko," she said.

"It was more like, 'bam!'," added Derek. "And I was, like, in shock. And then she just gets out of the car and she dances to her [house]."

During the interview, Vicki also recalled getting a phone call from Derek where he expressed his intention to marry Ellen just less than a month after they met each other.

"This guy called me up. He calls me up, he goes, 'This is the girl. I'm really going to propose. I'm getting married, Vicks. Do you know this?' I go, 'Ha? How long have you known her?' 'Three days, it would be one month,'" Vicki shared.

"So you were telling me that you guys didn't kiss after one month. That means he already wanted to marry you (Ellen) before you kissed!" she said, playfully.

It was back in March when Ellen and Derek shocked the public with their announcement that they got engaged, just a month after they admitted their relationship.

"There was just... it was just an instant connection. And that's the thing! We didn't test drive anything," explained Derek.

"I didn't know that we were going to get married. I just know I wanted to marry her," he added. "So I wasn't assuming that [she'd] say yes."

Ellen, for her part, revealed that prior to their engagement, she already knew of Derek's plan to ask for her hand in marriage.

"[He'd] tell me [that he wanted to marry me]. We talked about it. [He] told me three times before [he] really proposed," she said.

Ellen, 33, and Derek, 44, first met through their mutual friend John Estrada, who is also the actress's co-star in the sitcom John En Ellen.

After hitting it off on their first date, the two went public with their relationship last February. They were seen on social media spending more time together since then, along with Ellen’s son Elias with former boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz.

Previously, Derek has said he believes that Ellen is already “the one” for him.

For her part, Ellen confessed that she never wanted to get married, but that all changed when she met Derek.
