Kapamilya singer Zsa Zsa Padilla chronicled her experience getting a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan in the US.

According to Zsa Zsa, she has been experiencing leg and back pain non-stop for five days. While she wanted to get an MRI scan in the Philippines, she was forced to fly to the US to get her MRI due to overcrowding of hospitals in the country.

As some of you might already know, I’m in the US now to continue my check-up. So much has been said about my condition since I tweeted that I was experiencing leg and back pain for 5 days and couldn’t have an MRI in Manila because of the COVID cases in hospitals,” she wrote in her Instagram post.

Revealing she has been hearing stories from people saying she recently got infected with COVID-19, the 56-year-old artist took the opportunity to shoot down the rumors and said: “I also heard recently that I’ve had COVID. It’s not true.”

While she has been experiencing problems with her leg and back for quite some time now, she revealed she didn’t want to heed the advice of her doctor to get an MRI scan then because of claustrophobia.

Last year, I started having problems with the nerves on my legs and some lower back pains. My Dr. in Manila advised me to have an MRI but unfortunately, since it was my first time to do this procedure, I had no idea I would cry and back out due to claustrophobia,” she said.

Due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases that overcrowded hospitals, Zsa Zsa revealed she had to fly to California, USA to see a nerve specialist.

She stated: “So, after a year, my back and leg started giving me problems again and since our hospitals are filled with COVID patients, I didn’t want to risk having my tests back home. My partner, Conrad decided to take me to see his brother, Dr. Art Onglao in California and he found a specialist for me. I also needed a check-up with my Obgyn and luckily, my nerve specialist is married to an Obgyn! What were the chances?!”

She added: “Since we arrived, I have been busy with all my much-needed consultation and tests.”

Sharing what she went through recently, she said: “Today, I had my last test — ironically the MRI I most dread. What a finale, Huh? I’m happy though that Art found a machine for me that is so much less threatening than a regular MRI. And I’ve conditioned myself well enough to be braver and to keep smiling.”

Zsa Zsa, who has yet to receive the diagnosis of her doctor, said she decided to share her MRI journey just to clear things up about the real status of her health.

Let’s continue to take care of our health. Tomorrow, I will see my nerve specialist so he can give me his diagnosis. I know that everything will be ok. I just thought of sharing so you wouldn’t get fake news. Thanks for joining me. Take care now!”
