Actress Sam Pinto and professional basketball player Anthony Semerad have revealed the gender and name of their baby.

The two first announced Sam's pregnancy last May 5, with a set of photos showing her growing baby bump and sonogram.

In a vlog released over the weekend, the couple shared their reaction when they found out that they were expecting their first child.

"Ako super mixed emotions kasi parang after the wedding, after marriage, we were planning to have a baby two years later pa, 'di ba? Kasi we want to enjoy but he got excited. [I'm] happy and scared at the same time," said Sam, who was 23 weeks pregnant at the time of the vlog's recording.

"I was excited! That's it!" Anthony, for his part, said.

According to the two, they are expected to welcome their child in August.

"Baka nga same birthday with his brother's baby," said Sam, referring to the son of Anthony's twin brother, David Semerad. "Baka same time kasi anytime from August 8 tapos na kasi 'yung 39 weeks ko."

At the end of the video, the couple announced that they are expecting a baby girl, and that they've decided to name her Mia Aya Semerad.

"Because we really love the ocean. Mia is queen of the ocean, so it's the perfect name. And Aya, it's a very lucky name. Siyempre we want her to be lucky," they explained.

It was just last March when Sam, 31, and Anthony, 30, exchanged vows in a civil ceremony held at Conrad Manila in Pasay.

Previously, Sam said she and Anthony will be tying the knot for a second time in a "semi bigger wedding" with their loved ones present by the end of the year.

The two got engaged in August 2019, during their vacation in Australia where Anthony grew up. At the time, the two had been dating for one year.
