“Siyempre, nakakatuwa I mean, it’s hard kasi with my son, I missed out those years, I’ve always loved kids, I really love and enjoy kids, so of course yung priority, and I told Ellen that her priority should be Elias and I’ll always be number two and I’m okay with that and that’s what I want to be. Ako naman, I have to work on both relationships because theirs apart from each other, it’s just perfect na talagang magkasundo kami ni Elias and he seems to be, that he’s very attached to me,” paliwang ni Derek.

“It’s hard for a kid to get out of his comfort zone… and it only goes that he trusts you and it shows he trusts me, it’s nice that we share that kind of relationship and Ellen trusts Elias with me and she knows I will take care of him and love him. So I’m here playing the favorite uncle trying to be anyway.”
