Lea Salonga is celebrating her 50th birthday this Monday, February 22.

In her most recent post on Instagram, the Broadway star thanked all those who remembered to greet her on her special day.

"50 today!!! Woo-hoo!!! To everyone that sent a greeting, THANK YOU!!! I’m a tad overwhelmed, but in an oh so good way! Truly, this girl is hella grateful!" she said.

Those who greeted Lea include American actor-director Michael Arden and theater actress-singer Sierra Boggess.

"Happy Birthday to my forever big Sister, Grace, and Goddess. I'm so glad you and your light are in this world," said Michael, who starred in films such as Source Code and Bride Wars.

For her part, Sierra, who is best known for originating the role of Ariel in The Little Mermaid on Broadway, and for her multiple appearances as Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera, wrote: "Today we celebrate @msleasalonga San!!!! !!!!!!!!! I’m so glad you were born and that you have inspired us for so many years and continue to kick so much booty as a fierce human!!! Love you Lea San!!!! Happy frickin' birthday!!!!"

Singers Ricky Martin and Deborah Cox, former Olympian skaters Michelle Kwan and Kristi Yamaguchi, and actors Zacahary Levi, Adam Jacobs, and Merle Dandrige also wished Lea a happy birthday.

Lea's rise to international fame began when she played the lead role of Kim in the musical Miss Saigon—first in the West End production and then on Broadway—at the age of 18.

She went on to star as Eponine in the Broadway production of Les Misérables in 1993 and Mei-Li in the Broadway version of Flower Drum Song in 2002.

Lea was also the singing voice of Princess Jasmine in the Disney movie Aladdin and Fa Mulan in Mulan and Mulan 2. For this, she was recognized as a Disney Legend back in 2011.

Lea was most recently seen in Yellow Rose, an acclaimed film about Filipino immigrants in the United States starring Tony Award nominee Eva Noblezada. The movie is available for streaming on the ABS-CBN platforms KTX.ph and iWantTFC, as well as Cignal PPV and Sky Cable PPV.
