Showbiz veteran Sharon Cuneta admitted that she considers her former onscreen partner and boyfriend, actor-director Rowell Santiago, as her TOTGA or "the one that got away."

Sharon made the admission in her recent Instagram update, where she paid a loving tribute to Rowell as she reposted a throwback picture of them together.

"I can live without most everyone else (*including any other ex!) outside of my family, but I can never live without this boy in my life. One of my bestest friends, TV show and concert director, leading man. Always the lovest. Like Kiko (her husband), his heart is so pure. So decent. A true gentleman. Truly TOTGA," she said.

Sharon and Rowell were a popular love team in the 1980s. They spawned a following after co-starring in the movie Cross My Heart in 1982.

Previously, Sharon said that Rowell was the only man whose heart she broke. The two dated following the actress-singer's breakup with her former husband, Gabby Concepcion.

“Rowell Santiago was the only one whose heart I broke and didn’t deserve it,” she said, as quoted by Rappler. "My heart wanted only GABBY. My fault and I have been atoning to Rowell who is my good friend and often concert and TV show director nowadays and before din.

“He is a La Salle grad from a respected and decent family (known them since childhood). He is one of the best quality human beings I know.”

After her failed marriage with Gabby—with whom she shares a daughter, KC Concepcion—Sharon tied the knot with politician Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan. The two have been together for more than 25 years now and have three children, namely, Frankie, Miel, and Miguel.

After more than three decades, Sharon and Rowell are reunited in ABS-CBN's hit series FPJ's Ang Probinsyano. The actress debuted on the show in November as new character Aurora, the daughter of Don Ignacio Guillermo who is played by veteran actor Tommy Abuel.
