KTLA5 news anchor and former Kapamilya host Cher Calvin got a front row seat when BTS performed "Butter" for the "Crosswalk the Musical" segment of James Corden's show.
The news anchor happened to be at the same spot where the boy group performed "Butter" at a crosswalk. Cher posted the video she filmed of BTS performing in front of her car.
"Oh my god BTS!!!! #bts #crosswalkmusical @j_corden wow!! @bts.world.official not gonna lie. I’m officially a #fanforlife," she posted on her Instagram page.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Cher shared that she was just about to grab a meal when she suddenly noticed that BTS and James Corden were there when she stopped at a red light.
"I was going to lunch and I saw all this traffic, and nothing was happening. Then I saw all these people off to the side and I noticed, 'Wait a second, that's James Corden and that's BTS! Before you know it, they're doing the whole dance and they're in front of me. And then they touched my car and I'm like, 'Oh my gosh!'" she said.
Cher remarked that she always liked BTS's music and that moment made her a fan for life.
"I've always liked their music. They know how to dance, they're great. You can't get away from them. They're everywhere so obviously I knew who they were when I saw them on the side. But I'm going to tell you right now, I’m a fan for life. They literally performed for me!" she stated.
Cher is an Emmy-award winning journalist who has been working with KTLA5 since 2005.
She was a former host of F!, a fashion magazine show of ABS-CBN.
Cher is the daughter of former Filipino actor Roger Calvin.
