Singer Zephanie Dimaranan is calling on her fellow youth to go out and vote in the upcoming 2022 elections, saying they shouldn't be afraid to exercise their rights and make their voices heard.

The Idol Philippines winner, who turned 18 last February, addressed the Filipino youth as she spoke on the subject of politics on the entertainment podcast PUSH Bets Live.

During the PUSH Bets Live podcast, Zephanie admitted that she hadn't thought about the qualities she looks for in a leader, but said she wants someone who is genuine and leads by their heart.

"I haven't really thought about it kasi recently medyo preoccupied din po with work. And I know na wala pa rin naman ako ganung knowledge really about everything that's been happening pero siguro po talagang sa isang leader, 'yung something na gusto kong ma-feel, whenever I see them or whenever they speak or whenever pine-present nila 'yung sarili nila, talagang makikita mo na genuine 'yung gusto nilang gawin or kung ano 'yung advocacy po nila. At talagang alam mo na puso 'yung nagpapatakbo sa kanila," she said.
