Nine months after giving birth to her daughter Thylane, Solenn Heussaff admits she still hasn’t made love with her husband.

For their latest vlog, Nico Bolzico and Solenn Heussaff busted myths about being first-time parents as they go through the journey together.

Though we would all like to just close our eyes during uncertain times and wake up to something better, we need to acknowledge we cant always be in control of whats to come. Among the issues the couple touched were pregnancy myths such as women’s feet growing one size bigger, spending a night not talking about their kids, and not wanting to get invited to other people’s places.

But among the most interesting subject matters the couple discussed was the fact that Solenn still hasn’t made love with her husband nine months after she giving birth to their daughter.

According to Nico, he respects his wife’s decision as he knew he had to make adjustments after his wife gave birth.

“For me, after women give birth, it’s on them. We just need to wait as long as they need because we didn’t go through pregnancy. We support their pregnancy,” he said.

He added: “They are the bosses. If they want to go back into the action, we should be ready. If they want to wait, we should be ready. If they want to try and then they stop, we should be ready. If they want to go to different direction from before, we should be ready.”

Explaining her decision, Solenn said having gone through C-section made her scared to make love with him.

“Personally, that was C-section. I don’t know if that was just subconsciously in my head, but we are chopped down there from nine different layers. So I’m still a little bit scared and I’m not yet ready to be quite honest. I know, it’s been a while,” she said.

“I know some moms are like ‘What the?’ But that’s the truth,” she added.

Nico, on the other hand, said he isn’t in a rush and will just be waiting when his wife would be ready. “I’m ready. I’m waiting. And I’m not in a rush.”

Meanwhile, the couple also discussed yet another fascinating topic most people perceive wrong — that having kids ruin people’s lives.

“Having a kid does not ruin your life. It just adds a different branch. I have learned so much being a mom. I have learned a new side of me that I didn’t know before whom I love. I can’t remember life without my child. I’m the happiest I could be right now because of my child,” Solenn said.

She added: So it doesn’t ruin your life. It changes your plans, yes. It changes logistics in your life, yes. But it definitely does not ruin anything.”

Nico, for his part, said it’s the opposite of “ruin” as having Thylane made their lives “a thousand times better.”

“I think even the opposite. It doesn’t ruin your life. It makes your life a thousand times better. I mean we’re enjoying life in a way at the level we never did before having Thylane. And I think the most important is like having a child also makes you a better person. It makes you more humble, it makes you shift priorities,” he said.

He added that the one thing that changed, though, is that their priorities shifted and helped them see the world from a different perspective.

“Sometimes, we all work so hard that our priorities are mostly material. Now you will see that your priorities are different and you will start seeing the world with different eyes. And you’ll see you’d want a better world not just for you, but for her,” he stated.

He continued: “You want to do better. And you want a better world also because there is someone more important than yourself.”

Solenn gave birth to Thylane last January 1, 2020.
