Actress Elisse Joson is set to release her first solo single under Star Pop amid the novel coronavirus disease pandemic.

The Kapamilya actress shared the news with her fans and followers via an Instagram post early this week.

Her new single, titled “Halika Na,” will be released on August 28.

Elisse first released a song under Star Pop in January 2019. She and her former onscreen partner and boyfriend McCoy de Leon recorded their own rendition of Moira dela Torre’s “Tagu-Taguan” for their movie “Sakaling Maging Tayo.”

Elisse was last seen in an episode of iWant’s original anthology series “Ampalaya Chronicles” in January and the Metro Manila Film Festival entry “The Mall, The Merrier” in December last year.

While she is not working on any acting project as of the moment, Elisse has been busy participating in fundraising initiatives to help COVID-19 frontliners, as well as using her voice to support her home network ABS-CBN amid its franchise woes.
