For the first time since confirming their breakup last March, Daniel Matsunaga opened up about his failed relationship with Polish model Karolina Pisarek, his girlfriend of two years.
In an interview with Inquirer, the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate revealed that he and Karolina broke up last November.
“Ganoon talaga,” he said. “Everything in God’s time. He really has his ways.”
While he admits that their long distance relationship had been a challenge for him and Karolina, Daniel said that this wasn’t the cause of their split.
“Yes, LDR is hard, especially for us because our time difference is seven hours. We really had to adjust when we’re both busy with work,” he said.
However, he added: “I just think God has other plans for us. I just have to trust Him.”
In the interview, Daniel, 31, also revealed that he’s ready to get married, saying: “I’m already 31. I need a wife!”
“But yes,” he continued. “I’m all about trusting His ways.”
Asked about what he looks for his next partner, Daniel said: “[She] has to be someone who will bring me closer to Him—that’s really important for our relationship to grow. She also has to be kind and intelligent. She likewise has to learn to be close to my family. It’s not so hard to love them. If you know what they are like, you’ll know that I’m blessed to have them.”
It was last March when Daniel confirmed that he and his girlfriend had called it quits in his response to a follower who asked about their relationship on Instagram.
The relationship of Daniel, 31, and Karolina, 22, had been the subject of speculation since late last year, after a Polish website published an article claiming that the two models have called it quits, allegedly, due to the former’s “infidelity”.
Daniel and Karolina first made public their relationship in October 2017.
