Unlike most celebrities in the industry who use their social media accounts as personal and professional online photo albums, Luis Manzano has proven that you don’t need to post personal stuff in order to gain a strong following. Currently with more than three million Instagram followers, Luis admitted that he can’t get full credit for finding the funny content he posts almost every day as a post or as an Instagram Stories. “I go all over social media, some are just sent to me or by the people in the videos. I will have a team soon when i start my vlog, but the ECQ changed our time table bigla,” he told PUSH.

Luis admits that his funny streak can also be attributed to both his parents Edu Manzano and Vilma Santos-Recto. “I think I am makulit but that does not necessarily equate to funny! Both my parents are hilarious, mas nakikita lang kay daddy but my mom is the same! Laugh trip sila!” he shared.

Another reason Luis chose to make his account different from other celebrity profiles is that he also does not take himself too seriously. “Despite what I post sometimes on my page about my ‘kagwapuhan’, I still can’t believe a face like mine is on TV. It is not false humility, talagang weird lang itsura ko to be on TV and some say na cute... natatawa nalang ako. My main goal is magpasaya lang, sino ba mapapasaya ng selfie ko? Wala, baka may magsaksakan pa,” he said jokingly.

As one of the most talented hosts in the industry, Luis said he has no big secret to his success. “I still don’t think I am! I guess as a ‘makulit host’ your energy always goes outward to provide to the audience but alone, I do have my quiet loner moments,” he admitted.

Luis also said that he is happy to be able to help his followers de-stress when they visit his profile. “Alam ko na ECQ has been stressful on the mental health also of so many people, so hey, if my videos make you laugh... then I’m good! :) I get so many DMs na they watch my videos to reduce their ecq anxiety,” he added.

With Mother’s Day happening this weekend, Luis also shared his most memorable moments with his celebrity mom while growing up. ”When I would visit her during movie shoots, dinners, and Vilma show. Every time I get to spend time with either my parents is special due to the kuwentos, laughter and you feel the love,” he said.

The 39-year-old Kapamilya host and actor started as a model for a local clothing brand before joining showbiz as an host, actor, and VJ. He is currently in a longtime relationship with actress Jessy Mendiola.
