Marami ang nakapansin sa ilang cryptic post ni Aiko Melendez nitong mga nagdaang araw sa kanyang social media account na tila may kaugnayan sa status ng relasyon nila ng boyfriend na si Zambales vice governor Jay Khonghun.

May post si Aiko na nalulungkot siya. Pakiramdam daw niya ay siya’y nag-iisa. Pagkalipas ng ilang araw ay may post naman siya na balak niyang magpaputol ng buhok na kadalasang ginagawa ng mga babae kapag hiwalay na sa boyfriend.

May mga nakapansin din na hindi man lang siya binati ng boyfriend noong nakaraang Mother’s Day. Wala ring palitan ng sweet messages between the two for a couple of days now.

Break na nga ba sina Aiko at Jay? Nakaapekto ba ang long distance relationship nila dahil sa COVID-19 pandemic para manlamig ang kanilang relasyon?

Isa kami sa nag-usisa kay Aiko kung ano ang totoong nangyayari. Hindi siya nagbigay ng kahit anong reaksyon sa amin hanggang nag-post siya sa Facebook noong May 17 ng kanyang official statement. Humingi rin siya ng paumanhin sa mga kaibigan sa media sa kanyang pananahimik sa isyu.

“To all my media friends, forgive me for not responding to your messages lately. I may have been avoiding to talk or address the issue about me and my personal relationship mainly because I needed time to think and just pause for a bit.

“I was thinking of doing an FB live and answer all your questions and your reactions but I just opted to make it a personal statement. Every relationship has its highs and lows, VG Jay Khonghun and I are not perfect, it may seem and look like it, but just like any ordinary couple we go through tough times and challenges, too.

“But because we choose to stay together and fight for what we have, we are still together till now. We both appreciate those who prayed for us. Salamat sa mga nagse-send ng mga messages sa amin. We may not reply but sure, we do appreciate it.

“I hope somehow this statement will put an end to the speculations that we are no longer together. You know what they say, ‘Love wins!’
