Here's the official trailer of The Missing, an entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.

Directed by Easy Ferrer, the horror movie stars Ritz Azul, Joseph Marco, and Miles Ocampo.

The Missing follows the story of Iris (Ritz), a 28-year-old architect, who lost her younger sister to a kidnapping syndicate and developed PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) and hallucinations.

One day, her ex-lover Job (Joseph) calls her for a restoration job for Riku Watanabe’s century-old house in Karatsu, Saga, Japan.

In Saga, the two meet Riku's six-year-old son Aki and Filipina intern student Len (Miles).

As soon as they started working, Iris begins to experience hauntings in the house, particularly of angry looking yureis (ghosts). Job dismisses the incidents saying it might be her hallucinations resulting from her trauma and her stopping medication. Though she agrees, Iris still thinks there is something wrong with the house. She keeps convincing herself that she needs the job and the peace of mind.

Her suspicions grow when Fumio, one of the local workers, tells her about Hitobashira, or the act of human sacrifice.

Originally an entry to the cancelled Metro Manila Summer Film Festival (MMSFF), The Missing is among the 10 full-length films that will be streamed online at the 2020 MMFF on Christmas Day.

Other entries for the 2020 MMFF include Magikland, Coming Home, Tagpuan, Isa Pang Bahaghari, Suarez: The Healing Priest, Mang Kepweng: Ang Lihim ng Bandanang Itim, Pakboys, The Boy Foretold by the Stars, and Fan Girl.
