During the lockdown in Metro Manila, KC Concepcion was one of the celebrities who first started helping the community by donating hand sanitizers and Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) earlier this year. After typhoon Ulysses ravaged the country, KC shared her thoughts about the calamity in an earlier Instagram post.

She wrote, “My heart goes out to all those displaced, and affected by back-to-back Typhoons Rolly & Ulysses. The three most powerful storms in recorded history, that came down hardest on land, happened here in the Philippines. 🥀 Though we’re ‘resilient’ - I pray for all the families and people who have lost their homes and struggled to stay warm and safe. I pray for the safety and efficiency of rescue teams and quick rehabilitation for our communities. This is the last thing we need in the middle of a pandemic. ⚡️ And the most important thing is to take care of each other in more ways than one, in whatever capacity we can... the main culprit of these typhoons are the warming of our oceans. Remember when we hear about protecting the Earth? This is it. This is up to us. Take care everyone.🦋”

This month, the 35-year-old actress once again showed how generous she is by sharing in her most recent Instagram post that she is will be raising funds for the typhoon victims by selling items from her own jewelry line Avec Moi which she launched in 2018. KC personally designs the pieces.

She wrote, “I’m selling ready-made, handcrafted @avecmoijewelry pieces (it usually takes 4 weeks made-to-order), designed by yours truly, for the IMMEDIATE RESCUE & RELIEF efforts in Cagayan, Northern Philippines. They will be available to serious buyers on Tuesday, November 17th.

KC has also been encouraging her 3.4 million Instagram followers to help by donating in cash and in kind. She wrote, “Our partner fishing communities with @wwfphilippines in Albay and Camarines Sur need our help! Still reeling from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, they have also been recently battered by the first storm that hit before Typhoon Ulysses - Super Typhoon Rolly - destroying the boats that they use for livelihood and leaving hundreds without shelter.
