Back in the ‘90s, four handsome young men captured women’s hearts in the situational comedy series ‘Palibhasa Lalake.’

Dubbed as the “Gwapings,” the then phenomenal all-male group was composed of Mark Anthony Fernandez, Eric Fructuoso, Jomari Yllana, and Jao Mapa.

Fast forward to 2020, let’s see how these young men transformed into full-fledged adults.

1. Mark Anthony Fernandez

Born to a family of celebrities, it is no wonder that Mark Anthony Fernandez also pursued a career in showbiz.

After rising to fame as part of The Gwapings, Mark Anthony went on to take several projects on film and television.

In 2006, he tied the knot with Melissa Garcia but later got separated in 2014.

They have two children together, including young actor Grae Fernandez.

Mark Anthony’s latest projects with the Kapamilya network were FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and Ipaglaban Mo.

2. Eric Fructuoso

Eric Fructuoso has been quite active in showbiz as well.

Over the years, he has developed a flair for portraying antagonist roles.

In 2018, he became part of the top-rating series Kadenang Ginto. He also became part of the action drama 24/7.

He may be a villain on-screen, but he’s a soft and loving dad in real life.

Eric has been happily married to his wife, Gian, for 16 years, and they have three kids together.

He also has an elder son named Frederick with his former partner.

3. Jomari Yllana

Jomari Yllana also pursued his career in showbiz until he entered politics in 2016.

Currently, he is a member of the Parañaque City’s First District Council.

Jomari is also now a father of three.

He has one kid with his former wife Aiko Melendez and two kids with his non-showbiz ex-partner Joy Reyes.

4. Jao Mapa

Jao Mapa may be a late inclusion to the group, but he sure did steal hearts as much as the others.

Throughout the years, Jao Mapa took on acting projects here and there.

But aside from his career in showbiz, he has also done quite well in the arts.

A Fine Arts graduate from the University of Sto. Tomas, Jao pursued his painting career.

He graduated in 2003 and has since done several art exhibitions here and abroad.

Jao is also happily married to his wife Cecille, and they have three kids together.
