Veteran actress Rosanna Roces has finally patched things up with her son, Onyok, after being estranged for seven years.

On Sunday, October 4, Rosanna posted photos of their unexpected reunion on Facebook, with the caption, "Tapos ang laban!"

Speaking with PEP, Onyok said he and her mother met at his sister Grace's house.

"It just happened," he said, describing their reunion as "casual." "Siguro napatawad na rin namin ang isa’t isa at sa mga nakaraan na nangyari."

It was in 2013 when Rosanna and Onyok's feud first made headlines, with the actress alleging that they got into a physical fight, as her son sided with his then-girlfriend.

According to Rosanna, Onyok tried to apologize following the incident, but she refused to forgive him, and even told her son to leave their home.

“Somehow, mas magaan ang feeling ko ngayon dahil wala na ‘ko sama ng loob na dinadala araw-araw," said Onyok. "Na-realize ko na hindi mo talaga pwede talikuran ang pamilya."

“Sa dami nang nangyari sa akin the past seven years at sa kalagitnaan ng pandemic na ito, eto na yata ang isa sa mga pinakamasayang plot twist ng buhay ko, at syempre dahil kumpleto na kaming family ulit," he added.
