As part of its “REELive The Classics” initiative of restoring classic Pinoys films, ABS-CBN Film Restoration digitally restored and remastered Ang TV Movie: The Adarna Adventure.

The cast of the 1996 Star Cinema classic did not miss out on attending the premiere night of the film which also turned into a mini-reunion for the cast.

In attendance at the event were Patrick Garcia, Camille Prats, Paolo Contis, and siblings Gio and Guila Alvarez, among others.

In an interview with the press, Paolo Contis said he hopes to have a reunion with the entire cast in the future.

“If I'm not mistaken, I was 11 or 12 (years old) when we did the movie. Actually, until now, some of us (cast) remained friends. Hopefully, we can have a reunion, even not in a movie, just to hang out and catch up, that would be fun,” he said.

Meanwhile, Camille Prats said she hopes the film would inspire a new generation of viewers who will learn the value of friendship.

“It’s not often that we see movies like this today. The film has an important lesson about friendship. We (characters) worked together as friends so we can give the Ibong Adarna to Angelica’s (Panganiban) grandmother and cure her illness,” she stated.

Apart from the Johnny Manahan-directed fantasy movie, ABS-CBN Film Restoration also digitally restored and remastered the 1993 romance flick Saan Ka Man Naroroon.

The screenings of the two digitally restored and remastered Filipino classics will run from September 20 to 26 at the Powerplant Mall.
