Like many of his contemporaries (namely, Nash Aguas and Sharlene San Pedro), he did, for a while, stayed in showbiz. As a child star, he starred in a few but notable acting projects, including the blockbuster movie Don’t Give Up On Us in 2006, thriller-suspense indie film Hellphone in 2009, and several appearances on the drama anthology series Maalaala Mo Kaya until around 2012.

He now runs his own clothing company, CLOUT, which features “in-trend garments that you'll definitely like to add to your essentials,” he said in a previous tweet. Its first collection has been released just this year. See Basty himself sport items from his clothing line, which focuses on contemporary fashion and street wear, here.
