Star Magic confirmed that comedian Chokoleit passed away on Saturday, March 9. He was 46.

“Star Magic confirms that comedian Chokoleit has passed away. Details are still being gathered. Chokoleit was performing in an out of town show in Abra, and experienced difficulty in breathing after his performance.”

Chokoleit’s friends from showbiz are also in shock upon hearing the news including talent manager and radio host Ogie Diaz.

Born Jonathan Aguilar Garcia, Chokoleit made a name for himself in the entertainment world after he appeared as Pearly in the 2004 fantaserye Marina.

Star Magic has released an official statement on the comedian's passing.

"Star Magic extends its deepest sympathies to the family and loved ones on the sudden passing of our Kapamilya, Jonathan Aguilar Garcia also known as Chokoleit.

We request everyone to pray for the eternal repose of his soul and for the family he left behind. Thank you."
