Former actress and TV host Karel Marquez and her husband businessman Sean Fariñas are expecting a baby boy for their first child together, the former announced on Instagram yesterday, February 20.

💙👶🏻 ‘Di na nakapag hintay ng complete “photo op “ dahil hapon pa uwi ni Kyler kasi field trip niya, ma-late na ako sa check up ko and our family can’t keep a secret for so long HAHA but... It’s out of the bag! It’s a healthy, “100% BABY BOY!!!” as stated sa results yesterday! “It’s out of the bag! It’s a healthy, ‘100% BABY BOY!!!’ as stated sa results yesterday! [sic],” she said, citing that the good news is an answered prayer for Sean.

“And mine too because this baby boy is growing well inside mama’s womb! Sabi sa ultrasound, nose ko at long legs naman ni daddy! Wow ha talaga lang ha. We can’t wait to meet you!!! My #RAINBOWBABY!!!! [sic],” she added.

Karel has also revealed the name of their baby — Kobe Federico Santos Fariñas, taken after Sean’s favorite basketball player, his late dad and grandfather.

Federico, our son’s 2nd name, is my husband’s late father (Jr.) AND grandfather’s (Sr.) name. Fair enough [sic],” she said.

Following a miscarriage in October 2017, Karel revealed that she was pregnant anew on Instagram in November last year.

🤰🏻Now attending a wedding reception tonight, and yes, as my husband @sean_farinas confirmed with excitement through his post, I am holding my baby bump now, and I know I will “show” even sooner than ever because they say your skin/muscles are more relaxed especially on the 3rd pregnancy so yes, expect to see me big LOL! She has two other children, Keiley and Kyler, from a previous relationship with Arman de Guzman.

Karel and Sean tied the knot in December 2016 at an intimate wedding ceremony at a church in Makati.
